Piano
Shi Hong holds a Bachelor of Classical Music (Performance) from UCSI University and an ATCL diploma, and has continued his piano studies with renowned Malaysian concert pianist Mr. Ng Chong Lim. An award-winning pianist, he has performed as both a soloist and collaborative pianist, appearing at recitals, competitions, and with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in major productions. With nine years of teaching experience across Malaysia and Singapore, he is passionate about nurturing students' musical and personal development, and has guided many students to success in piano competitions.
Cello & Piano
Wan Ru holds both a Master of Performing Arts (Music) and a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Music) with Honours from the University of Malaya, where she specialised in cello. She has been a member of the Garden International School's Instrumental Music Programme since 2015, teaching both cello and piano. Alongside her teaching, Wan Ru has performed with the KLPAC Orchestra, the Anggun Gamelan Ensemble, and the University of Malaya Orchestra, bringing a wealth of performance experience to inspire and nurture young musicians.
Orchestral Percussion & Piano
Nian Shee holds a Master of Music in Percussion Performance and a Professional Studies Certificate from The Boston Conservatory, as well as a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Music) with Honours from the University of Malaya. An accomplished percussionist, she has performed with leading ensembles including the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur City Opera, and Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia. Alongside her performing career, Nian Shee lectures in percussion at both Universiti Putra Malaysia and the University of Malaya. She is passionate about inspiring young musicians through engaging, student-centred teaching that develops confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.

Kun Ming holds a Master of Arts in Music Performance with Distinction from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, UK, and a Bachelor of Classical Music (Hons) from UCSI University. An accomplished pianist, accompanist, and educator, he has performed extensively in the UK, Malaysia, and internationally, and is actively involved in piano workshops, masterclasses, and music competitions. Alongside teaching at Garden International School, Kun Ming lectures at Sunway University and is passionate about inspiring students to develop confident musicianship and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Vocals
Sue Xian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Popular Music from the University of Wolverhampton, UK, and a Diploma in Music from the Yamaha Academy of Arts and Music. A versatile musician, she specialises in piano and voice, with additional experience in violin and choral performance. Alongside performing as a freelance vocalist and member of the Kuala Lumpur City Opera Chorus, Sue Xian is passionate about inspiring students to develop confidence, musicality, and a lifelong love of music.
Viola & Violin
Melissa holds a Degree in Music from Universiti Putra Malaysia, majoring in Music Education. An accomplished violist, she has performed with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Universiti Putra Malaysia Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared in performances with the Monash Symphony Orchestra and at prestigious national events. With over 15 years of teaching experience in violin and piano, Melissa is passionate about nurturing confident, well-rounded young musicians through engaging and supportive music education.
Viola & Violin
Cheryl holds a Master of Music (Performance Studies) and a Bachelor of Classical Music (Hons) from UCSI University, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning from Taylor's University. An accomplished violinist and violist, she has performed with leading ensembles including the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Kuala Lumpur City Opera, and Bachfest Malaysia, and has appeared in concerts and productions both locally and internationally. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Cheryl is passionate about inspiring young musicians through engaging, student-centred learning and developing strong technical and musical foundations.
Brass (Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn)
You Li holds a Master of Music Performance from Brandon University, Canada, and a Bachelor of Music Performance from North of China University. An experienced French horn player, she has performed with numerous orchestras in Canada and China, including the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, Regina Symphony Orchestra, National Academy Orchestra, and Shanxi Symphony Orchestra. Passionate about music education, You Li has taught brass students in both schools and private settings, and is committed to inspiring young musicians through engaging and supportive teaching.
Guitar (acoustic & electric), Bass, Ukulele
Ezzaty holds a Bachelor of Music Performance (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA and is currently pursuing a Master of Performing Arts (Music) at the University of Malaya. She is an experienced music educator specialising in classical guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, ukulele, and piano, with teaching experience across music centres and private studios. Passionate about developing confident, well-rounded musicians, Ezzaty creates engaging, student-centred lessons that encourage creativity, musicality, and a lifelong love of music.
Flute
Ching Ting holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons.) in Classical Music from UCSI University and is a Certified Kinderflute Teacher. An accomplished flautist, she has performed internationally and is a former President of the Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia. She has also been a member of the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and has taught at several leading international schools since 2016. Passionate about music education, Ching Ting is dedicated to helping students develop strong musical foundations, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Kamil Hasbi is an experienced guitar educator with a Rockschool Professional Certificate in Music/Performing Arts Studies (Electric Guitar) and over 15 years of playing experience. A versatile guitarist with international touring experience, he specialises in rock while teaching a wide range of musical styles. Having taught at international schools and music academies, Kamil is passionate about creating engaging, student-centred lessons that develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong enjoyment of music.
Drums
Yugi is an experienced drum educator with a Diploma in Media Technology from SAE Institute and professional qualifications including Yamaha Grade 6 Drums, Rockschool Grade 8 Drum Kit, and Rockschool Teacher certification. A versatile performer, he has worked as a session drummer and percussionist for live concerts, events, and bands, while teaching at international schools, music academies, and private studios. Passionate about contemporary music education, Yugi inspires students through engaging lessons that build strong technical skills, confidence, and a lifelong enjoyment of music.
Clarinet
Julian joined the Garden International School Instrumental Music Programme in 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Tunghai University, Taiwan, and is an accomplished clarinettist with extensive orchestral and teaching experience. Julian has performed with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Kuala Lumpur City Opera, Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia, and the Taiwan Formosa Philharmonic Orchestra. Passionate about music education, he inspires students to develop strong musical foundations, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Saxophone
Hui Ting holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Soochow University, Taiwan, and a Diploma in Music from the Malaysia Institute of Art. A dedicated saxophonist and music educator, she has performed with the Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia and the KLPAC Symphonic Band, and has presented solo performances and saxophone workshops. With teaching experience in both Taiwan and Malaysia, Hui Ting is passionate about inspiring students to develop strong musical foundations, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Yu Hyueh holds a PGCE in Music and a BA (Hons) in Music from Middlesex University, London, as well as a Diploma in Music from Yamaha Academy of Arts and Music. A classically trained soprano and pianist, she has extensive experience teaching piano and voice using the ABRSM, Trinity, Yamaha, and ANZCA syllabuses. Passionate about nurturing young musicians, Yu Hyueh creates a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of music.
